Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16, she had already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra was associated with numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon. She was also part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
