Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her career in showbiz as a child. She played lead roles in television dramas as early as the age of 16. In the Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
